Can I take my child out of school for holiday during term time?
Every school day counts. Following changes in the law, parents are not permitted to take their children out of school during term time for holidays. Please refer to the school calendar when booking holidays.
What should I do if I think my child is being bullied?
If you suspect that your child is being bullied, please contact their Head of Year as soon as possible. We take bullying very seriously and any student found to be bullying another will be punished through the Positive Discipline system. You can contact the academy using our contact page.
How should I inform school of changes to my contact details?
Please make sure that your contact details are kept up to date by completing the contact pages in your child’s Planner every term. If you move house or change your telephone number you should inform us as soon as possible by our contact page, or sending a letter addressed to your child’s Head of Year.
What should I do if my child is ill?
If your child is unable to attend school please inform us as soon as possible using the details on our contact page, leaving your child’s full details ie. your full name, child’s name and class, and reason for absence. If we do not receive any information we will contact you to find out why your child is absent.
How do I fill out the Contact Page form?
Please note you can get away with leaving off contact details if you are sure they are up to date with the academy. The ‘Send’ button will send all the details you provided which will be forwarded to the appropriate staff member.
